WFO Planner is a web application available at wfoplanner.in that helps IT professionals plan their hybrid work schedule. The app is developed and maintained by souravak.

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register.
- Work schedule data: The days you mark on the calendar (WFO, WFH, leave, holiday) and your monthly work policy settings.
- Usage data: Basic server logs including IP address and browser type, retained for security purposes only.
We do not collect your location, phone number, or any sensitive personal information.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the WFO Planner service:
- To create and manage your account
- To save and display your work schedule across sessions and devices
- To authenticate you securely using JWT tokens
- To improve the reliability and performance of the service
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the service.
4. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (neon.tech), a cloud database provider. Your password is never stored in plain text — it is hashed using bcrypt before being stored. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
WFO Planner uses browser localStorage to store your authentication token so you remain logged in between sessions. This is stored only on your device and is not a tracking cookie. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
6. Google AdSense and Advertising
WFO Planner may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertisements are shown only on public pages. The app itself (behind login) does not display ads.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:
- Neon — our database provider, for data storage only
- Netlify — our hosting provider, for serving the application
- Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements on public pages
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can view all data associated with your account by logging in.
- Correction: You can update your schedule and policy data at any time within the app.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account by emailing kavaruos1@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
- Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a readable format by contacting us.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account and schedule data for as long as your account is active. If you do not log in for 24 consecutive months, we may delete your account and associated data after notifying you by email.
10. Children's Privacy
WFO Planner is intended for working professionals and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of WFO Planner after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
